Final fling for football team
Tuesday 1st May 2012Great Yarmouth FC achieved only their second win of the season in their final Ridgeons League Premier game against fellow relegated side Newmarket at the weekend.
In spite of going a goal behind early on, the Bloaters hit back with two goals in two minutes in the first half and followed up with a penalty after the break.
Aaron Hanks was promoted from the reserves and scored his maiden goal for the first team. Charlie McAra’s strike and a George Barnden penalty secured the 3-1 win.
