Residence reveals its new image

There will be a fresh face on the Great Yarmouth entertainment scene from this weekend when Residence unveils its new image as an upmarket nightclub and bar.

A big party will get the get things underway at Residence, which dates back to the 1890s and is also remembered as Rosies nightclub and as an aquarium.

The relaunch is headed by David Ball who has leased the building from owner Peter Jay, owner of the town's Hippodrome Circus.

Mr Ball is promising top music acts at the Marine Parade venue to attract customers from a wide area.

The Residence opens from 9pm to 4am for Saturday's launch event. Tickets cost £10 by visiting www.theticketsellers.co.uk or £12 on the door.
