Football legends set for Great Yarmouth
Saturday 2nd January 2010Darren Huckerby and Bryan Gunn are among s host of ex-Norwich City stars ready to line up for the Canaries against Ipswich in a legends match to be staged at Great Yarmouth.
The game at Wellesley Road on Sunday, April 18 is being arranged by another former Canaries' star Dale Gordon.
Other former City stars being lined up for the contesty include Dion Dublin, Iwan Roberts, Ruel Fox, Darren Eadie and Jeremy Goss while Ipswich have already named Simon Milton, John Wark and Jason Dozell.
The Ipswich team will be managed by Town hero Kevin Beattie and City by the 1985 Milk Cup winning manager Ken Brown. The match will also mark the 25th anniversary of city lifting the cup after famously beating Ipswich in the semi-final.
As well as the match itself, there will be a kiddies' tournament, crossbar challenges and lots more family fun. There are also plans for a Question of Sport quiz in Legends Bar between City and Town players plus a party night with question and answer sessions and some of the players taking part.
