"Ludicrous"

An idea to run a road through countryside instead of dualling the A47 has sparked angry protests from local villagers, and local MP Tony Wright has described the idea as "ludicrous". Officials say it is only one of several ideas to improve the route between Great Yarmouth and Norwich, the exact route of the road has not been decided but would run across countryside from Acle to Caister roundabout.
